The New Right Council says Clara Brugada is “building a city of marijuana smokers.”

MEXICO CITY (apro).- The New Right Council reacted to the installation of three cannabis tolerance points in the Mexican capital: “The head of government (Clara Brugada) is building a city of marijuana users, vagrants, and drug dealers.”
The conservative religious organization lashed out at the local Morena leader following the Mexico City government's decision to establish three locations where cannabis consumption is permitted under the protection of members of the Ministry of Citizen Security (SSC):
“The Brugada government uses our taxes to promote drug addiction, drug dealing, and vagrancy (...) We oppose not only the relocation of three “4:20 centers” (cannabis points) - and the nine in total - but also the government's use of our taxes to create spaces of perdition, moral decline, and disease.”
"Do they want to get on the drug traffickers' good side?" the Council questioned in a statement, also criticizing the city government for seeking an agreement with consumer groups rather than with the residents of the areas where the tolerance points were set up: at the Simón Bolívar Monument, in the Plaza de la Concepción, and the Plaza de la Lectura José Saramago.
"We demand a change to the General Declaration of Unconstitutionality, which eliminates the absolute prohibition on recreational or recreational use of cannabis and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)," he added, arguing that the study on the practices and preferences for cannabis regulation in Mexico shows that more than 60% of the Mexican population disagrees with marijuana consumption, its recreational use, and legalization."
The New Right Council declared: "We do not want our taxes used to enable and 'supervise' drug dealing spaces, while our communities lack sports, educational, and artistic spaces, there is growing insecurity, and public spaces are being neglected."
